  10. This announces the October version 1.0.7 of the Comp.Object FAQ!  It has
  11. many updates and corrections and has several very up-to-date appendices
  12. on object-oriented methodologies and systems.  While a new section on
  13. miscellaneous commercial systems and libraries is still in the works for
  14. completeness, this document may very well comprise the latest and most
  15. up-to-date collection of object-oriented systems and terms in the world
  16. today!  There is also a potential upcoming merge with the new C++
  17. Libraries FAQ.

  19. I will try to update the FAQ monthly with system entries and information from
  20. the net.  I have a new TQM system in place which should proceed from the
  21. old Level 1 to Level 5 in no time - not hard for a one man job.  *Many*
  22. thanks to the patience of those sending system updates and corrections,
  23. my new system should provide fast acknowledgement, inclusion (within a few
  24. weeks) and tracking, and 6 sigma quality should provide essentially defect
  25. free performance for the FAQ.

  27. Sending comments, suggestions, additions, updates, corrections, and new
  28. systems and site entries is strongly encouraged and should be directed to
  29. the author at rjh@geodesic.com.

  31. The FAQ is posted to the comp.object, comp.answers and news.answers newsgroups
  32. and is available via anonymous ftp from zaphod.uchicago.edu and rtfm.mit.edu,
  33. although new versions may take a short period of time to be installed.

  45. Zaphod is preferred over rtfm for anonymous ftp retrieval, as it provides a
  46. single file.  Rtfm contains the FAQ as posted.

  50. Again, a short period of time may be required to retrieve the latest version
  51. from anonymous ftp, allowing the posted version to propagate and get out as
  52. quickly as possible.
